Sklené Teplice

Spa Sklené Teplice are in a beautiful valley at the foot of the Štiavnické vrchy. The valley connects Hliník nad Hronom with the village of Podhorie 12 kilometres from Banská Štiavnica, a unique jewel of the world cultural heritage. Rarity of Sklené Teplice are thermal springs of mineral waters from 37⁰C to 52,3⁰C. Besides healing effects we can also experience atmosphere of old glorious past of the spa used already in 16th century.

Svätý Anton – Castle

Impressive authentically preserved baroque castle in Svätý Anton (5 kilometres to the south of Banská Štiavnica direction Krupina), seat of prominent aristocratic family Kuháry, later Coburg. Its last successor and user Boris Coburg was the Bulgarian king. In the castle is the museum consisting from two parts:

-- exhibit of furniture with authentic collection of furniture used by king Boris Coburg and unique collection of French political graphic arts

-- exhibit of forestry with a rich collection of hunting trophies from inhabitants and visitors of the castle (from the whole Europe)

By the castle is originally baroque garden, later transformed in landscape park.
